Stylish Accommodations on the Eastside of Downtown

Portland, OR – A new year brings the promise of great things, and this new year brings a brand new luxury, boutique hotel to the Eastside of downtown Portland.  A buzz is growing about Hotel Eastlund being the centerpiece of the Eastside and leading a true urban resurgence in the Lloyd District.  Located across from the Oregon Convention Center, Hotel Eastlund is opening in late-spring and will feature 168 guest rooms and suites, and more than 4,600 square feet of flexible meeting and event space with sweeping views of downtown Portland.

The Forbes four-star hotel will also feature some of the most dramatic dining in the Rose City.  Portland’s premier chef and restaurateur David Machado will open Altabira City Tavern on the rooftop of Hotel Eastlund.  A tightly-focused beer-centric menu, using only the finest seasonal and local ingredients, will be served before a breathtaking backdrop of Portland’s skyline.

On the lobby level of Hotel Eastlund, Machado will unveil Citizen Baker– a bakery, cafe, and wine bar concept, serving handmade breads and pastries, as well as creative soups, salads, and sandwiches seven days a week.  The artisan bakery and gourmet coffee shop will transform daily into a cozy wine bar with a locally fresh menu for happy hour.

Stay up-to-date with all of the latest happenings at Hotel Eastlund, Altabira City Tavern, and Citizen Baker- including grand opening events and specials- by following Hotel Eastlund’s social media channels.  Our Facebook and Twitter provide you with real-time hotel news, while Instagram offers a running gallery of developments on the Eastside.
